There are people who want a Bible and still do not have one.
Sometimes the reason is money. Sometimes it is access. Sometimes life has simply made one more purchase impossible to justify.
When groceries, gas, rent, medicine, or simply getting through today have to come first, buying a Bible can become something a person keeps putting off. Bibles Within Reach exists to change that—by putting Scripture into the hands of people who want it, freely and with dignity.
A focused first campaign built around Bible access and responsible distribution.
Late May through approximately late November 2027.
A preferred Bible option has already been identified for pre-launch purchasing work.
Bibles purchased through the initiative are intended to be given freely.
Sometimes the reason is money. Sometimes it is access. Sometimes life has simply made one more purchase impossible to justify.
Bibles Within Reach started with a simple thought: if someone genuinely wants Scripture, the price of a Bible should not be what stands in the way.
That matters for people experiencing homelessness, families under financial pressure, young people without easy access to a Bible of their own, and others who may be surrounded by needs that feel more urgent than buying a book—even when that book matters deeply to them.
This is not about chasing the biggest distribution number we can post online. It is about serving people carefully. It is about a Bible offered without pressure, handed to someone respectfully, and placed where it can actually be read, carried, kept, and returned to.
Getting a Bible from an idea into someone's hands takes more than fundraising. Bibles Within Reach is being built around a real purchasing plan, trusted relationships, careful distribution, and follow-through so the public story and the real-world work match.
Mardel is the planned primary vendor, and a preferred Bible option has already been identified as we prepare final purchasing details.
Churches, ministries, shelters, community organizations, businesses, and local advocates can help BWR understand needs and serve wisely.
Distribution will combine direct Prayer Project outreach with approved partners who already know and serve their communities.
Partner-distributed Bibles will be reported back to BWR so received, distributed, and remaining quantities can be tracked responsibly.
The Prayer Project currently intends to use Mardel as the primary Bible vendor for Bibles Within Reach and has identified Mardel SKU 3660396 as the preferred Bible option for the initiative.
Final pricing, quantities, purchasing terms, and any bulk arrangements still need to be finalized before fundraising opens. Naming Mardel here describes our current purchasing plan; it does not represent a claim that Mardel is an official sponsor, donor, or program partner unless that relationship is separately announced.
The strongest version of Bibles Within Reach will be shaped by people who already know their communities. We want to begin conversations now with churches, shelters, ministries, outreach organizations, businesses, and others who may be able to help us find needs, open doors, support logistics, or distribute Scripture responsibly.
And eventually, partnership will live in one place. Before active distribution begins, BWR plans to launch an online Partner Center for applications, Bible requests, partnership information, and distribution reports.
The planned first Bibles Within Reach campaign will aim to raise $50,000. That number is intentionally ambitious because the vision is bigger than a one-day Bible drive: it is to build a repeatable, accountable way to purchase and distribute Scripture at meaningful scale.
We will not pretend today that every dollar equals a fixed number of Bibles. Supplier pricing, quantities, shipping, storage, transportation, and real distribution capacity all matter. Final campaign details will be published before fundraising opens.
Bibles Within Reach should feel personal on the receiving end and trustworthy on the supporting end. These are the standards we want the initiative to keep from the first conversation through every distribution.
No one should be treated like a photo opportunity, a number, or a condition for proving impact.
Receiving Scripture should always be a person's choice. No pressure and no required activity attached.
Purchasing, inventory, transfers, and partner distributions should be practical, documented, and focused on the mission.
When the campaign begins, real numbers should replace promises: funds, Bibles purchased, Bibles distributed, and meaningful milestones.
That moment starts before a campaign total and before a shipment arrives. It starts with prayer, careful preparation, honest partnerships, responsible purchasing, and the decision to put the Word of God within reach.
Bibles Within Reach is in pre-launch development. Planned dates, campaign procedures, supplier arrangements, partnership structures, distribution details, and other operational information may be refined before the public campaign begins. This page is not currently accepting contributions.
