Bibles Within Reach
The Bible Behind BWR

The mission gets real when a Bible has a path.

A $50,000 goal is only meaningful if we know how it becomes Scripture in someone's hands. BWR is already moving from a broad idea toward a specific purchasing plan, a preferred Bible, documented inventory, and a clear distribution trail.

Current preferred purchasing plan: Mardel as the primary vendor, with Mardel SKU 3660396 as the preferred Bible option. Final price, quantity, and purchasing terms remain subject to pre-launch finalization.

Purchasing Direction

Specific enough to plan. Careful enough not to overpromise.

The Prayer Project currently intends to purchase Bibles for BWR primarily through Mardel. A preferred Bible has already been identified under SKU 3660396, giving the initiative a concrete starting point for pricing conversations, quantity planning, and distribution preparation.

The final arrangement still needs to be completed before the campaign opens. Pricing, availability, bulk terms, quantities, shipping, and any other purchasing details may change as the initiative moves from planning into execution.

What stays fixedThe goal of giving appropriate new Bibles freely and responsibly.
Vendor Transparency

Planned vendor does not automatically mean sponsor.

Mardel is named here because it is part of the current BWR purchasing plan. Unless The Prayer Project separately announces a formal relationship, this should not be read as a claim that Mardel has sponsored, endorsed, donated to, or formally partnered with Bibles Within Reach.

The Prayer Project intends to document purchasing decisions and handle any applicable vendor-selection or conflict considerations through its internal governance and purchasing procedures.

Why a Preferred Bible Matters

The Bible itself is part of stewardship.

Choosing a default Bible option creates a starting standard for cost, readability, durability, ordering, inventory, and partner distribution. That makes planning more realistic while leaving room to respond when a different format is genuinely needed.

Readable

Something people can actually use.

A Bible should be practical enough to read regularly, not selected only because it produces the lowest number on a spreadsheet.

Durable

Built to be carried and kept.

For some recipients, this Bible may travel with them every day. Physical usefulness matters.

Scalable

A choice that can support meaningful quantities.

Availability, pricing, and ordering capacity matter if BWR is going to grow beyond a small one-time giveaway.

Flexible

A default, not a cage.

If a different Bible format better serves a real need, BWR can evaluate that instead of forcing one option into every situation.

Follow One Bible

From order to open hands, every step should make sense.

The BWR model is being built so a Bible does not disappear into a box after purchase. The initiative should know how many were ordered, received, transferred, distributed, and still remain.

I
Order

Purchase.

An approved order is placed using finalized pricing, quantities, and campaign resources.

II
Receive

Count.

Shipments are received, verified, and entered into BWR inventory records.

III
Assign

Transfer.

Bibles are allocated to direct outreach or released to an approved distribution partner.

IV
Place

Give.

The Bible is offered freely and respectfully to someone who wants Scripture.

V
Close the Loop

Report.

Direct teams and partners report distribution so totals can be reconciled and publicly summarized.

Inventory Accountability

“We gave them to a partner” is not the end of the record.

BWR intends to track inventory through transfer and distribution instead of treating a box leaving storage as proof that every Bible reached a recipient.

Received. Transferred. Distributed. Remaining. Reconciled.

When Bibles are released to an approved distribution partner, BWR should know the quantity transferred and the partner responsible for them.

Partners will later use the planned online Partner Center to submit simple distribution reports showing how many Bibles were given away and how many remain on hand. Those reports can then feed BWR's internal records and aggregate public impact totals.

The reporting model is intentionally simple. BWR needs stewardship information—not the names, identities, or private stories of individual recipients.

One Bible should be easy to give away—and still possible to account for.
Next piece of the system

The Partner Center will close the distribution loop.

Applications, Bible requests, partner records, and distribution reports will eventually live in one online place.

Bible & Purchasing

The goal is not to buy boxes. It is to steward a path from a Bible order to a person.

That is what makes the purchasing plan matter: not the retailer name by itself, but the discipline to choose carefully, count honestly, distribute respectfully, and know what happened next.

Mardel and SKU 3660396 reflect the current preferred purchasing direction for Bibles Within Reach. Final terms, pricing, availability, quantities, and any formal vendor relationship remain subject to change before the campaign launches.
